In November of 2010, Lee’s Summit voters overwhelmingly approved a public safety bond initiative.  The project called for the renovation of the Police Department’s detention facility and the construction of an indoor firing range and training room.  On Friday, May 2nd, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. the Police Department will host an open house event and officially dedicate the new building.  The public is invited to come and tour the new facility. – See more here.
